ABOUT MARY ELIZABETH (LEACH) RAINES
Mary Elizabeth (Leach) Raines has been hypnotizing people for more than half a century. Recognized by the National Guild of Hypnotists as one of the "leading practitioners in the art and science of hypnosis," she has trained a number of hypnotists in Sedona and across the world through her school, the Academy for Professional Hypnosis Training.
Her graduates have included physicians, psychologists, social workers, ministers, teachers, and other professionals from across the globe.
In the past 17 years, she has been invited to give presentations at hypnosis conferences including the National Guild of Hypnotists, where she is an adjunct faculty member; the American Board of Hypnotherapy; the International Hypnosis Federation; and the Mid-America Hypnosis Conference. She developed and taught the first Guided Imagery Certification course offered by the National Guild of Hypnotists, who conferred on her the Order of the Braid, honoring her for her dedication and contributions the the world of hypnosis.
An author, Raines has a number of articles and books on hypnosis. She has been published in hypnosis magazines worldwide, and is a regular columnist for The Journal of Hypnotism.
